David Tennant (born David John McDonald; 18 April 1971) is a Scottish actor and voice actor. In addition to his work in theatre, including a critically acclaimed Hamlet, Tennant is known for his role as the tenth incarnation of the Doctor in Doctor Who from 2005 to 2010, along with the title role in the TV serial Casanova (2005) and as Barty Crouch, Jr., in the film Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005). He is Married to Georgina Moffet, the daughter of Peter Davidson (the 5th Dr Who). She played the character Jenny in the 2008 episode The Dr’s Daughter. Jenny is the Tenth Doctor‘s daughter, created when Tennant’s character sticks his hand in a “progeneration machine”, which created a female clone of him. In short, the Doctors daughter is the Doctors daughter and is in fact the Doctor, who then marries the Doctor.
Interestingly, at the end of the episode Jenny, believed dead, is seen to revive herself with regeneration energy and leave in a space ship – so she could return to the series at any time.
